Eyes are considered as window of our body, through which we can see the world and able to do our daily activities. Even a minor damage can lead to serious eye problems. Dust, rubbing or any hard pressure can cause eye complaints, most commonly recognized are:
Blurred vision
Eye redness
Double vision
Pain in eye
swollen eyelids
Bleeding
Here in this article we will discuss some common eye problems that can be caused due to even minor injury:
Black eye:
It can be caused by a minor pressure to eye and leads to painful eye, cut eyelids, swelling and even bruises. Vision can be impaired due to swelling and person unable to open the eye.
Orbital Fractures:
Eye sockets (structure around the eyes) are involved in it. When bones around eyes are broken by any forceful hit or a fall, even trauma can cause eye fractures. Internal eye bones ripped off, muscles got stretched and pull apart.
Eye Burns
Harmful Chemicals, strong perfumes, smoke and other irritants can cause loss of vision. These all irritants can burn eye and leads to eye damage.
Retinal detachment
Retinal detachment can be caused due to eye trauma, hypertension, diabetics or it can be age related. It is caused due to detachment of retina, when retina got wrenched away from eye wall and can lead to permanent loss of vision.
Corneal abrasion
Corneal abrasion is caused due to some eye irritants, scratch from nails, infection due to contact lenses and foreign objects that can affect eye and makes it painful, watery, sensitive to light or heat.
Eye Bleeding
Internal eye bleeding is caused due to continuous forceful sneezing, straining cough, injury, hit or eye trauma. It can cause impaired vision, floaters and even vision loss. Hemorrhage can occur in conjunctiva, and between cornea and iris.
