Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne disease, also known as break bone fever. It is caused due to bite of virus carrying mosquito called as Aedes aegypti. Dengue is a painful flu like illness or debilitating fever, spread when virus carrying female mosquito bites a healthy person. It commonly bites during the day or at night.
What are the causes of Dengue?
It is transmitted to humans by the bite of infected mosquito (Aedes aegypti).
Mosquitoes catch infection when they bite a virus carrying or infected person. Later, this infected mosquitoes bites other people and transmits infection to other healthy people.
Where Dengue virus grows?
It grows faster in higher temperatures.
Dengue spreading mosquitoes lay their eggs in clean stagnant water, water holding containers, uncover water, accumulation of water at any place, buckets, cooler, bowls or flower pots which carry water for longer period, they live can survive indoors and outdoors.
